From Purpose to Presence: Helping a Counselling Service Show Up Online
When Arise Counselling Service first approached us back in June 2025, they were looking for some extra support with their social media presence.
As a brilliant East Grinstead-based non-profit, their focus is (rightly) on the incredible work they do supporting people through counselling. But like many organisations run by trustees and volunteers, finding the time to consistently show up online was a challenge. They wanted a local marketing partner they could trust to take that pressure off their plate and that’s where we came in.
Getting the strategy right
Before jumping into posting, we focused on creating a clear and manageable strategy that would work for their team long-term.
This included:
A yearly content plan aligned with key global, national, and internal awareness days
Establishing a consistent, recognisable social media look and feel
Defining content pillars that balanced support, awareness, and fundraising
The goal? Keep things structured, but still flexible enough to reflect what’s happening within the organisation.
Bringing it to Life
Once the foundations were in place, we moved into implementation, keeping things simple, consistent, and true to who Arise are.
We:
Created and scheduled two posts per week across Facebook and Instagram
Shared real stories, testimonials, and updates from the team
Highlighted ways people could get involved, from donations to volunteering
Tapped into relevant news and awareness days to keep content timely and meaningful
Everything was designed to feel human, supportive, and authentic, never overly “marketed”.
The Result
The impact was almost immediate.
Within the first month alone:
Page clicks increased by 4,700%
Views grew by 329%
But beyond the numbers, the real win was what this meant for the team.
By taking social media off their to-do list, we’ve helped free up valuable time and headspace, allowing them to focus on the work that truly matters. And over time, this has grown into a strong, ongoing partnership built on trust, consistency, and shared purpose.
